CompTech helps organisations manage users, licensing, identities, collaboration, devices, security, backup and Copilot readiness as one Microsoft 365 platform.
One managed view
Microsoft 365 sits behind email, files, Teams meetings, shared documents, user accounts, devices and increasingly AI.
Without clear ownership, licensing grows, permissions drift, old accounts remain active and security settings become a collection of individual decisions.
CompTech brings administration, identity, device management, collaboration, recovery and improvement into one view of the platform.
Manage users, licences, groups and shared mailboxes, with access changing as people join, move roles or leave.
Use MFA, Conditional Access where licensing supports it, protected administrative roles and appropriate permissions to reduce unnecessary account and access risk.
Keep Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, guest access and shared permissions organised so people can collaborate without uncontrolled sprawl.
Keep device management, Microsoft 365 recovery requirements, data protection and Copilot readiness connected to the wider platform rather than treated as unrelated projects.
Identity and access
Identity and device controls are a major part of Microsoft 365 security because compromised or over-privileged accounts can expose email, files and other cloud services.
CompTech can review authentication, administrative access, device requirements and account risk as part of the agreed Microsoft 365 service, with the exact controls depending on licensing and the organisation’s requirements.
Use what you have well
Many organisations pay for Microsoft 365 plans that include useful security and management capabilities but only use a small part of them.
CompTech helps review what existing licences already provide and where Intune, mobile device management and mobile application management can improve security and reduce reliance on separate tools.
Apply sign-in controls around MFA, location and device requirements where licensing supports them, with risk-based policies used only where the required identity-protection capabilities are available.
Use Microsoft Intune to enrol and manage supported Windows, macOS, iOS and Android devices where the licensing, device type and organisational requirements make it appropriate.
Use mobile device management (MDM) for enrolled devices and mobile application management (MAM) or app protection to protect organisational data inside supported apps, including some personal-device scenarios without full device enrolment.
Review whether existing Microsoft 365 plans already include capabilities the organisation is paying for but not yet using, and where licence changes would genuinely add value.
Available capabilities depend on the relevant Microsoft plan and current Microsoft licensing terms. Microsoft 365 Business Premium is one example of a plan that can provide broader security and device-management capability, but the right choice depends on the organisation and the features it needs.
Collaboration
Microsoft 365 collaboration can become difficult to manage when Teams, SharePoint sites and permissions grow without a clear structure.
We help organisations make sensible decisions around Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, external sharing and access so people can collaborate without creating unnecessary complexity.
Create clearer ownership and reduce unnecessary or abandoned teams and groups.
Keep shared information organised and make permissions easier to understand.
Review how guests, suppliers and external users are given access to organisational information.
Backup and recovery
Microsoft 365 includes service resilience and native retention and recovery features, and Microsoft also offers its own Microsoft 365 Backup service for supported workloads. These are different from using an independent third-party backup service.
The Business and eligible Charity/Non-Profit calculators automatically include independent Microsoft 365 backup for every entered Microsoft 365 user, separately from licensing. Backup for other workloads and services remains subject to the agreed scope.
CompTech helps organisations decide which data and workloads need additional protection, which backup approach fits the requirement, how long data should be retained and what recovery should be tested. The workloads and recovery options available depend on the backup service selected and the agreed scope.

Microsoft 365 Copilot works within existing permissions and access controls. That makes existing oversharing, weak permissions and poorly governed content more important to understand before wider adoption.
Review access, sensitive data, shadow AI, acceptable-use guidance and pilot groups before wider adoption. Depending on licensing and requirements, controls may also include DLP, Microsoft Purview and sensitivity labels.
Review the current tenant
Before recommending changes, we review the current tenant to understand what is already configured, where responsibility sits and which issues belong in day-to-day management, planned improvement or separate project work.
CompTech can lead Microsoft 365 management or work alongside an internal IT person or team, with responsibilities agreed around user administration, licensing, security, projects and supplier dependencies.
