What do we actually look at?
The conversation focuses on the areas that matter to your organisation. It does not imply deep technical testing of every item.
- users, devices, locations and current IT support arrangements
- Microsoft 365 administration, licensing, access and how the platform is being used
- identity, device and email security where relevant
- backup and recovery arrangements and the assumptions around them
- suppliers, third-party services and where responsibility sits
- recurring support problems or areas causing unnecessary frustration

- planned projects, migrations or other upcoming changes

The findings are organised around what needs attention, what is worth planning and what is already working well.

Issues that create a meaningful operational, security or continuity concern.
Worth planning
Improvements that could be useful but need budget, coordination or separately agreed work.
Working well
Areas that are already in good shape and do not need unnecessary change.
You should come away with a clearer view of where responsibility sits, the areas that deserve attention and the decisions that can reasonably wait.
When another view helps
A useful review does not depend on changing everything.
Recurring support problems
The same issues keep returning or it is unclear whether day-to-day support is addressing the underlying cause.

We look at the areas that matter most and separate immediate concerns from useful improvements, planned work and things that are already working well.
Discuss next steps
We explain what we have found, talk through sensible options and leave you to decide what, if anything, should happen next.
Any later implementation, project work or ongoing support is discussed and agreed separately from the Free IT Review.
A second opinion
You remain in control of what happens next.
The Free IT Review does not require you to replace your current IT provider or move everything to CompTech.
It can still be useful if you are happy with your existing support, have an internal IT person or team, or simply want another view before making a budget, project or provider decision.
The review is intended to give you a clearer understanding of the current position. It is not a formal technical audit and does not promise a formal written audit report.
Where further work would be useful, you can decide whether to leave things as they are, use your existing provider or internal team, or discuss separately scoped work with CompTech.
