Manchester IT support

Manchester IT support for connected teams and clear responsibilities.

CompTech supports Manchester organisations where a remote-led or co-managed service is a good fit. Connect Microsoft 365, devices, cyber security and projects without losing sight of who owns each part of your IT.

Wider North West coverage

Start with where your Manchester team actually works.

CompTech is based in Blackpool. Blackpool, Fylde, Preston and Lancashire remain our core local service area; Manchester is part of our wider North West coverage. We do not have a Manchester office or locally based team, and assess each requirement before agreeing a service.

A Manchester city-centre office, staff working from home and additional Greater Manchester premises can create different access and support needs. Name each site rather than treating a Manchester postal address as the full scope. For a hybrid team, agree how people receive support and how physical devices are repaired or replaced when remote help is not enough.

Hybrid users and shared information

Map where staff work, which devices they use and where shared files live. Microsoft 365 permissions, joining and leaving processes, and secure access should follow the user across locations.

Co-managed responsibilities

If a Manchester-based internal team already handles local infrastructure, agree which requests they retain and which CompTech owns. Define escalation, change approval and documentation so tickets do not fall between teams.

Office changes and project visits

For an office move or infrastructure upgrade, agree access with the premises contact and coordinate other suppliers. Onsite work is planned according to location, infrastructure and requirements, without assuming routine visits, unlimited attendance or guaranteed onsite response.

Relevant services

Choose a service that works across your team.

Remote support can address many account, application and device issues. Work that needs someone at the premises must have an agreed route, scope and timing. Project work and ongoing support are scoped explicitly.

Cyber security

Connect device protection and account security with everyday support, reporting and agreed improvement actions.

Who we support

Keep sector needs separate from geography.

A Manchester organisation can discuss the appropriate service route without assuming that business pricing or support arrangements apply to every sector.

Business support

Bring together staff support, Microsoft 365 and planned improvements around the way your team operates.

Education support

Assess school and trust support on its own requirements, including onsite provision and safeguarding responsibilities.

A practical next step

Agree the boundary between remote and onsite work.

Tell us your Manchester and wider site locations, internal IT capacity, user numbers and upcoming projects. Include systems that cannot tolerate a long interruption so we can discuss recovery and the practical limits of the proposed service.
